Energy for Equality Pathways supports women’s career paths by strengthening their capacities, practical knowledge, and support systems to enter, remain, and grow within the dynamic energy sector. We believe that by investing in women’s professional development, we can create a more diverse, inclusive, and innovative workforce.
The participants in Pathways will strengthen their capacities, practical knowledge, and support systems, which will in turn translate into more women becoming eligible to be hired, retained, and promoted in the energy sector.
Collaboration with companies offering opportunities to women in these areas and taking the lead in enabling their career progression will be essential for Pathways. Implementation will focus on the following three pathways:
Workforce Entry: For women seeking to enter the energy sector, we provide essential resources, training, mentorship and support to help them kickstart their careers.
Workforce Re-entry: We understand that women returning to the workforce after a break face distinct challenges. Our program offers targeted assistance to facilitate a smooth transition back for women into the energy industry.
Leadership Track: Recognizing the importance of female representation in leadership positions, we offer mentorship and development opportunities to help women advance into decision-making roles.
Women within each category meet specific challenges for career progression, demanding tailored approaches to address their individual needs rather than a generic solution.
Accordingly, Pathways will provide a range of sub-activities designed to meet these diverse needs.
1. The Internship Program will provide on-the-job experience for interns, equipping them with practical skills and knowledge and facilitating their professional development to build linkages between qualified female candidates and energy and complementary sector employers.
2. The Mentoring Program is established to provide mentorship and guidance to aspiring women professionals in the energy industry. The program aims to foster career development, enhance leadership skills, and promote gender diversity and inclusion within the sector.
3. The Training Program is a sub-activity that strengthens all pathways considered in Energy for Equality. The different types of trainings will support either entry level professionals, women re-entering the workforce, or those that want to grow into decision making roles.
We are dedicated to creating pathways for women to thrive in the energy sector. Join us in our mission to support and enable diverse workforce.
